Is it wrong to go to the gym in the morning before eating or should I eat first?

Hi Ann,
Great job getting to the gym in the morning!  It certainly requires motivation to get out of bed to work out, but it also requires energy, and energy comes from calories - which you are going to need after an 8 to 12 hour fast.  Current recommendations suggest a light meal within the hour before your workout, as well as a carbohydrate and protein-rich snack the within the 90 minutes following your workout.
